Laboratory Transmittals
It is possible for physicians to send blood samples for testing to the Laboratory of the BCA-clinic.
Enclosed in the blood kit is an anamnesis questionnaire to check for pathological findings and symptoms and a check-list for possible co-infections. Patients are asked to fill out the questionnaire and co-infection check-list and enclose it in the blood kit when posting it back to the BCA-clinic Laboratory.
For your information you can download 2 patient information leaflets here:
Laboratory services and diagnosis of Lyme Disease and possible Co-infections - the detection of tick-borne infections makes high demands on laboratory analysis in combination with the diagnostic findings (anamnesis) - (11 pages)
Increasing importance of co-infections for Lyme disease patients - with or instead of a Lyme disease infections - (6 pages)
If you are interested we can inform you about further possibilities of cooperation about treatment of patients suffering from tick-borne diseases.
We are offering to help you to coordinate the diagnostics and therapy procedures with your GP at home, if you do not live near Augsburg. In the case of a complicated disease pattern and severe symptoms we recommend, however, to get the initial diagnostics and therapy plan from a physician of the Medical Partnership cooperating with the BCA-clinic. We also recommend the "Lyme Compact Treatment Program" in our Day Medical Clinic at the BCA-clinic, particularly designed for chronically ill patients. T
We offer seminars and exchange of experience to interested physicians and cooperation partners on a regular basis.
Please contact the head of laboratory, Dr. med. Armin Schwarzbach, for further questions regarding the laboratory.
